A majority of Whites have lived in what are called "small communities": places that in which, contra the densely packed urban hells of the nascent megacities, people do things like know their neighbors. Decay don't like this, because when people know their neighbors they are much more likely to know if someone is dangerously neurotic, has a sudden over-young guest who can't leave, or doesn't do any work but just has a lot of money, possibly some of which is given out as loans.
Recall the bad guys in the Harry Potter and Star Wars popular series: aided by lots of makeup, masks, and other decorations, they were, quite literally, white men.
Like those, the entertainment products the Silent Hill series and Night in the Woods reveal how people in less dense communities with more knowledge of neighbors are able to identify Decay as a problem by showing the way popular entertainment indicates that small communities of White people are bad. The enemy in both of those places is fostered by communities of White humans (where people know their neighbors), who provide all the problems confronting the protagonist.
For the latter two less-well-known products, the ultimate bad guys are yet more White men who have formed a freaky small religious cult, which is fostered/accepted by their non-megacity life. The message is that if you know your neighbors it fosters evil: the perfect message for wolves in sheep's clothing. It is no wonder Decay like that message, because if the sheep start to notice strange lumps in someone's wool, they can find wolves.
This is significant because it shows how Whites are not aware of the long game (all four of those entertainment franchises were mostly created and/or fostered by Whites, whose willingness to make their own type the bad guy[s] sticks out). Like Whites are so daft they'll sell out their ancestors and worship a rabbi, they will also vigorously self-portray as evil while others insist that members of those others' groups are portrayed as good (think of how the 2022 movie Elvis implied the White songwriter stole wealth from Blacks by stealing the lyrics for "Hound Dog" from a Black woman).
Within the nasty confines of decay, centuries of human artwork was never seen by the world or created at all if it didn't allude to a biblical character. This provides "evidence" with which it can be attested that White people were such big fans of the Bible. In fact, it shows only that some of the people left alive after the Bible came to town were given the opportunity to achieve money and fame via art only when they did so within the confines of the story of how great was the Sky Rabbi (cui bono of course). The many big wars and mountains of dead people created during the Christianization of Europe are still said by history to be proof that, when alive, those people had been trying to be better Christians, all the wars described as disagreements about Christianity. Ridiculous! The rebellion against the Catholic Church selling "raping little boys" passes to perverts (the Protestant Rebellion) is likewise many centuries later called a fight about how to better worship a rabbi. The way western history is told is still (2025) that the people of Europe liked the idea of worshiping a foreign man so incredibly much that they had several wars about how to work it out!
The saying "the victors write history" is here relevant. What people in a society carrying Christianity have forgotten is that the good way to have history written is not to say, basically, "And then we kicked your ass so that's why you have to give us stuff," but, "You were so mean and kicked our asses because of bad reasons! You have to give us nice things to make up for it!" Jesusianism has shown the way it was very well designed, paying off not just by forcing people to say they thought a rabbi was the best and change immigration policy, but to even when it was discredited keep paying off (kind of like how it can seem bad to some people if two big buildings you own collapse, but those buildings had expensive fixes you would have had to make, were insured, and when they collapsed you didn't have to spend anything on those fixes and you got a lot of money). Jesusianism is so stupid, and very many White people are drawn to its universalism, making it completely plausible when resistance to the masterminds of the conquerors is portrayed as "arguments about how best to worship a rabbi."
You can prefer life in a megacity or you can prefer to know your neighbor; I don't care. What is significant here is that the way people imagine things has been so thoroughly altered by the decay process. Decay don't like small communities because they don't want their neighbors to know them, so whammo there's this image of crazy, dark, small-town religious cults.
