They Don’t Know
The agents of decay—often called here Decay—don’t know that they are agents of decay causing decay. They only believe they are members of another human group, same as everyone else, and think it is evil and unfair when people try to treat them as a discrete group with discrete interests. Much of the historical conflict between people not wanting societies to end and Decay wanting societies to end is this. People who believe that their time on Earth is their only time and/or that it is definitive will want to resist the process of Decay trying to end their societies and get people killed, while Decay will constantly want to break up societies and get people killed. Untrue stories that people can separate from the lifecycle and go to a special forever-world (Heaven; being saved) are Jesusian Christianity; are this. Similarly, untrue stories that people can separate from the lifecycle—become “free” of it; Bangist Christianity—are this. The saved and the liberated ones (traditionally thought of as Christians and liberals) are useful idiots, helping decay happen while believing that they are resisting decay.
With sad humor, people who believe that they have liberated themselves from the lifecycle and will be saved by Jesus are just another version of their “enemies” the modern liberals. What people nowadays see as old-fashioned are in fact the liberals of yesteryear—the unfortunate tools of decay, advocating the destructive principles of universality. Although Jesusians often believe that they are fundamentally opposed to the destructive policies of Bangists, they in fact support the same things. The universality of everyone having been created by Jesus in a big bang is very much the same as the universality of everyone having been created by randomness in a big bang. The superficial detail—Jesus Savior—is just superficial. It is not truly a meaningful distinction. What really matters is the universality.
That universality is what matters. It is why “savior” philosophy is the same with or without Jesus. Jesus having cosmigasmed everything into being, and then made some mud-sculptures in the Middle East is very much the same as the Big Bang "theory" followed by the Out of Africa “theory.” Both have been repeatedly disproven, but the adherents of both are very committed to their story. They are willing to destroy careers, ignore and downplay research, and literally kill many people to enforce their story.
Along those lines, Decay don’t know they’re Decay. It can be very difficult—generally too difficult—to realize that they are agents of decay. They just believe they’re another human group, and people have been mean to them because of unfair stuff. (Impossible ideas such as that some of them must be deceiving themselves can be used to attempt to explain why Decay act the way they do.) That is why the ridiculousness of Jesusian Christianity matters—because if a bunch of people are punishing Decay for hurting an imaginary character in a story they like, that is ridiculous, and centuries later it will be seen as such. Because people used a ridiculous explanation for what they did, any hostility to Decay can be said to be ridiculous.
What makes it possible to realize that Decay is decay is that what they are doing leads to their own destruction. If they were a predator or a parasite, they would want to eat/feed off things next year, or want their grandkids to do that in those grandkids' time, their great grandkids to do that in their time, and so forth. That would be one situation. They would very much want a strong, healthy Europe and Usica to give them money and protect them, but they are instead driven to destroy their own funders and protectors. As if they lived in a house where they are chained to the radiator and cannot leave, and they relied completely on the fact that a guy brings them bags of food every few days, but then they shoot the guy, it seems to make no sense! How they could be predators or parasites in such a situation is inexplicable. A belief in the stupidity of “Decay is on the side of this invisible person and wants to hurt this other invisible person” is the only option. Like morality, it at least satisfies the equation, and the otherwise inexplicable behavior of Decay leads people to conclude that ridiculous stories about Sky Rabbi must be true. Not shooting the delivery guy, but maintaining a stable relationship where Decay got those things, would include being able to eat/feed off things later. However, the reason Decay are not predators or parasites is because they do not try to survive beyond the destruction of what could be likened to their prey/hosts. They are neither predator nor parasite: they are Decay. Their purpose is to break things up, destroy pieces of an environment, and then destroy themselves, so that the larger environment—the stuff around Sol, the stuff inside the Milky Way, or larger—does not linger. Like a body rotting and then turning into humus, Decay are part of the environment. Like you are.
Decay are filthy. Like the guy who has to un-jam the toilet after someone has a really extravagant poop and clogs up that toilet, it is a filthy job, you don’t want to be around for it, but you are very glad that it happens. When you need to take a piss next week, you are glad the toilet works just fine, the bathroom doesn’t stink like old poop, but is cleaned-up all nice and new, the pipes all work so you can flush, etc.
Seemingly amazingly, though, plumbers make money. People just using the bathroom once and then leaving don’t get money for that. It is similar to the way that Decay use networking to accumulate resources and be paid for non-real things—become rich—at the expense of the people whose societies they are decaying. As a predictable result, Decay are often wealthier than the people of the societies which they cause to decay. Having many resources available—being rich—is easily understandable by people who like their societies—who don’t want their societies to stop working as those societies were designed (to age toward death). Because of this, it is very easy for people in those societies to consider the situation and think that their society is hosting parasites (Decay). Some people may even conclude that Decay are so effective, so damaging, that they are not parasites but predators. However, what both perspectives are getting wrong is that Decay’s existence is dependent on what it is decaying. Decay needs the society—the “prey” or “host,” as the case may be called—in order to live. Given that Decay are intelligent enough to perceive this need, then the relationship can be correctly identified: decay not parasitism or predation.
There have been “failed” parasites on Earth of this type—the type that destroy their hosts as part of being on their hosts. Any mortal disease is this. Once the person is unable to keep living, then the thing afflicting it with the illness also dies. It is the same way with Decay.
Consider the following ways to realize that Decay are decay, all of which most individual people who are Decay will possesses the intelligence to understand but not the strength of character. When the people off of whom Decay are feeding perish, they will be unable to continue providing sustenance to Decay. Similarly, when those people perish, they will be unable to protect Decay from the many enemies which have been made.
Imagine that Population K is giving Decay $100 million every year. When that population becomes heterogenous and is then destroyed, it will be unable to keep giving those gifts. Despite this, Decay continues feeding off that population (which some think is a population of prey/hosts). Why? Because Decay are not predators or parasites. Most of them cannot conceive of how they are destroying the future of their descendants, but even the ones who can perceive that are driven to destroy that on which they depend. They are Decay. Were they parasites or predators, they would try to keep their hosts or prey alive so that it could continue benefiting them. However, they do not do this. They are Decay.
Next, imagine that Population K is engaging in expensive, dangerous wars in order to protect Decay. When that population becomes heterogenous and is no longer able to protect Decay, all of the enemies that Population K fought off will then be no longer restrained: they will be able to attack and kill Decay, and take away everything Decay has. Despite this, Decay continues destroying Population K. Why? Because Decay are neither predators nor parasites. Most of them cannot conceive that they are destroying their own long term interests, but even the few who can conceive that are driven to do it. They are Decay. Were they parasites or predators, they would try to keep their hosts or prey alive so that it/them could continue benefiting them, like how a farmer wouldn’t kill all his own livestock or salt his own fields. However, they do not do this. They are Decay.
Dealing with Decay can be very difficult. When one can figure out that agents of decay are a group, it can easily be seen that Decay are rich and comfortable, and yet that they are destroying the very means by which they became rich and comfortable. Even if one ignores that and concludes that they are merely causing things to decay in order to become rich, it is still unpleasant to be robbed. The simple and very common inability/reticence to think about time beyond current cultural standards for “long” can lead people to miss the point. For example, if Decay are doing something that will make them (and their kids’ kids) rich and powerful for several hundred years, it is quite simple for people to conclude that Decay have as their purpose becoming rich and powerful. However, if one imagines what will happen in, say, 1,000 years—Decay being poor, hated, and then painfully exterminated—then it is easy to figure out what will happen when everything that supports and benefits Decay is destroyed. Decay will die. This is what Decay lacks the intellectual ability to comprehend.
