Praying
Ist perspectives like the earlier one—the denial of the Big Bang and the denial of random mutation—are why Ists are so O.C.W. (Obviously Completely Wrong). They actually think to compare us modern humans—us!—to humans before C.Y. (Current Year), or to humans in small cities! Or, or humans who live in rural areas and think it’s wrong for men to buttf-I mean to make love to other men! Anyway, exposing Istism:
The Impossibility of Testing the Power of Prayer
Any true Jesusian Christian, of course, would at some point of mindfulness, perhaps convalescence, pray for the good health and problem-free recovery of anyone ever being sick or ever having a surgery.
Clever researchers might design their experiment such that the prayer groups not be aware of the other data set of patients, but Ists have no respect for modern government certificates of being smart. They say that those arrogant researchers can never stop a recovering patient in AD1123 from having prayed for the health of all humans visiting a surgeon. Any results in AD2004 are, therefore, tainted, because everyone has already been prayed for. Pray for them all right now, yourself, and you will see personally that a God who controls time forward and backward cannot be bound by the limitations of a study conducted by imperfect humans.
Some monk in AD912 already ruined all tests on the power of prayer by praying for all people suffering a misfortune. And you can’t do anything about that. So when people study the patients whom they think haven’t been prayed for, their data set has been prayed for by that AD912 monk. The study is a failure—but they don’t see that.
It is like the way that Bangist Christianity advocates for a de-spirited society and has no foundation for why morals are important. The spiritless ugliness, the hypocritical nonsense--the overweight liberal woman screaming in tears that taxes be increased to give room service to every immigrant as they wait for their fast-tracked citizenship--is immensely stupid. It is so, so, so-so stupid, but it doesn't mean that an invisible man is getting texts about some dude masturbating in a house with walls and a roof and needs to be prayed to for forgiveness of that plus someone eating a special apple a few thousand years ago. Both forms of Saviorianity/egalitarianism are immensely stupid, yet the dialectic has been so masterfully constructed that the stupidity of either form can be used to make the other side seem an escape from the stupidity of egalitarianism.
It is like the two party system across the pond (U.S. politics). If a Democrat takes a bribe, does it mean Republicans are honest? If a Republican takes a bribe, does it mean Democrats are honest? Or take the U.K. If a Labour rep. takes a bribe, does it mean Tory is the party for honest people? Conversely, if a Tory rep. takes a bribe, does it mean Labour reps. are honest?
The "conflicting" sides in the narrative are very successful. Like a mark being distracted from watching the shells move in the shell game, there is no right party to pick, there is no correct answer; the process of deception is the show. On one scale, some guy makes some money; on another, a society moves along the cycle. Marks believing they've got the right one this time for sure are, like those who say they're saved/liberated, just reassuring themselves. Not lying, but wrong.
Again, not lying, just wrong. So much of what we see today in angry political screeds includes people accusing others of lying or being stupid. This is perhaps satisfying, but there are often no lies involved and it is not stupid for doing their tiny part in making the environment cycle (the stupidity is them thinking that what they are doing is making their society stronger when it is actually making it weaker, but overall they're participating in decay. It's like calling a raindrop stupid for wanting to smash itself against the asphalt). Just like modern Jesusians--they can go on the internet, and call up for themselves completely free images of Earth having no corners. They can read the completely free Bible (like 6 people have given them ones anyway) and see that the Earth is divided up into four quarters. What they believe, and what their evidence-requiring--and probably mistruth-identifying--brains have them think is not something they discuss with others or themselves understand. Guys who've spent decades negotiating deals, and know bovine ordure when they see it, know what it happening, but have always told their wives they believe in the Bible, and then those wives have died of cancer relying on what that Bible says about Jesus because they know their husband believes it. The interplay of what one believes and what one figures out can here be seen, and for many people, manifesting that belief in either form of Christianity is good. Like the way that some mentally re: tart Eddy people believe that their wise men are caring for them (their doc renews their prescriptions), some people are so used to believing in the ability of smart people to understand things that they have actually believed a first-century rabbi made space with a bang.
What Was There Before
Can God go back in time and kill God? No, but He's all powerful, so yes, but then He'd be dead, so He never went back in time, so then He can do that, so...spinny woo woo mystery.
Similarly, the argument is made that no one understands how the Big Bang was arranged beforehand, so any (united, thus uni)versal phenomenon can be further proof that we should marvel at Bang for as long as the religion has followers.
(Jesina interrupts! In holy rightness, I remind you that what the Ists say is O.C.W. and causes E.B.W. [Everything Bad in the World]! Every man should shut his eyes, think-text to Jesus, focus in on Passion, and think about pleasing a divine man so much that divine man has a Second Coming! It's so stupid how the Ists say Christianity is pro-gay; everyone knows Christianity is anti-gay and the Bible is not "doth protesting too much"! A vast majority of today’s prie-I mean scientists say that the Big Bang happened. Because almost everyone with certificates of being very smart (P.S.V.S.; Papers Saying they’re Very Smart, remember?) says something happened, that thing did happen. In Y.O. (Ye Olde a.k.a. prior years, remember?) people may have been wrong, but not in C.Y., because things have improved and we’re better now. So, going on.)
Earthlings of the future might marvel at how incredibly stupid were Earthlings of the 21st century C.E. for their belief everything had been “created” by an explosion X billion years ago. As people can today marvel at the obvious wrongness of the men before Galileo claiming one small planet in the Milky Way was the Center of Everything Therefore Sing/Donate, people centuries in the future will probably one day think the same way about us. Presuming humans still exist on Earth, they will reflect on how simple, how small-minded, we were for believing that our imagined explosion “created” everything. And He saw that it was good.
